My future

As I sat there waiting
My heart was thumping hard
My hands were wet
My mind was clouded

I looked back in the past
My life have I wasted,
My friends I abandoned,
My happiness I destroyed.

Suddenly the door opens,
My future has been decided,
Though it’ll be hard,
And no one will be there for me
I will claim my life

I will walk through fire
I will run in the rain
I won’t look back
